United we stand

Thursday's Thoughts from Pastor David Unity Unity is such an interesting word. There are many words within the word “Unity” There’s “U” as in You… There’s “I” as in Me… There’s “tiny” as in Unity is NOT a tiny issue… There’s “nu” as in, Unity might be a “new” concept for “U”. There’s “tun” as in there’s a “ton” at stake on this matter of Unity. There’s “nity” as in to achieve Unity we are going to have to get down to the “nitty” gritty. There’s “ty” as in to begin working toward Unity there has to be something greater, bigger, better, supernatural, spiritual that “ties” us together. There’s “tin” as in Tin takes a high polish and is used to coat other metals to prevent corrosion. Unity coated relationships shine bright by taking a high polish and are not easily corroded. There’s “nit” as in Unity will never happen if we are constantly “nit picking” - looking for small or unimportant errors or faults in others, especially in order to criticize unnecessarily. And last, but certainly not least there’s “nut” as in most people think we are “nuts” to even pray about unity in the world in which we live… Jesus’ prayer in the garden of Gethsemane is the most profound and at the same time the most simple – “that they may be one…” O that we could be One… One people – people of God One race – the human race One language – the language of love, care, grace, mercy, gentleness One Father – the Lord God Almighty and we the children who call Him Abba! One Savior – The One who lovingly gave it all so that we could have it all. One Life – The abundant life Jesus offers to us. One Goal – to be the answer to Jesus’ prayer… That we would be one… Amen… SeeingGodatWorkEveryDay... Laugh often and Fear not! Pastor David! daviddendy@daviddendy.comwww.daviddendy.com
